隨著國內新冠肺炎疫情趨緩，嘉義縣衛生局隨即推動餐飲業「樂活防疫‧安心飲食」5大自我管控宣言宣導與查核，針對確實落實防疫措施業者核發標章；5月30日上午由縣長翁章梁頒發認證標章給通過檢核的35家業者，翁章梁也在記者會中透露，衛福部長陳時中將在下週來嘉義進行兩天一夜「安心旅遊」。
餐飲業者5大自我管控宣言包含：一、環境（定期清潔、消毒）二、從業人員（戴口罩、勤洗手、瞭解防疫措施）三、協助顧客做好個人衛生防護（如量體溫、提供洗手設備或消毒用品、留下聯絡資訊、夾菜時避免交談）四、用餐人數限制（每桌至多8人，並採取下列至少1項措施：座位隔板區隔/餐點加蓋/公筷母匙或專人分菜/個人餐）等，五、符合前述四大防疫措施者，則室內人數最高可容許達250人。
東石樺榮海鮮餐廳老闆許華傑表示，衛生局對業者自我管控防疫部份非常嚴謹，時常稽查，不只外場，連廚房都去看，業者考量消費者能吃的安心健康，也積極配合，像是自家餐廳則收了1/3的桌子，拉大接觸距離，以策安全。
縣長翁章梁鼓勵民眾外出用餐消費時，優先選擇有防疫認證標章的業者店家，也提醒民眾應配合店家相關規定，全民共同防疫；並邀請有意願加入安心行列的業者，可向衛生局報名，衛生局將派員到現場檢核，經通過者即核發標章，相關名單陸續公佈衛生局網站供民眾參考。
翁章梁還提到，在疫情趨緩下，相關旅遊業者也從原來防疫旅遊，轉為安心旅遊，因此特地邀請衛福部長陳時中6月5日南下嘉義，並過上一晚，連兩天在嘉義安心旅遊，同時也慰勞防疫第一線人員。
