國際崇她嘉義社舉辦第二屆菁英獎，15位同學在嘉巿11所高中職30位同學的競爭中脫穎而出，6月3日於嘉義巿政府文化局由巿長黃敏惠及社長劉尹希頒發獎座及獎金，獲獎學生在六大領域中皆為佼佼者，其中嘉女學生黃英綺與父親共同創辦樂讀班，養成孩子讀書風氣，發揮大愛服務精神，令人動容。
崇她菁英獎遴選分為自然科學工程、語文、藝術、運動競技、專業職能技藝及公共服務等6大類，第二屆有嘉巿11所高中職30位同學由學校推舉參選，最後有黃聆歆、黃英綺、張芸綺、吳姿儀、蔡宛倚、鄭如喻、吳秀慧、鄔心語、李亮穎等9位同學得特優獎；林郁軒、藍禹晴、洪士惠、盧莉柔、劉姿妘、陳苡姍等6位同學獲優選獎。
其中有國際生物奧林匹克競賽特優、全國技藝競賽金手獎得主、全國語文競賽常勝軍、琵琶及中國笛演奏獲勝、全國舞蹈大賽團體舞現代組第一名、全國田徑錦標賽一萬公尺冠軍、游泳一百公尺蛙式打破嘉義巿大會紀錄、台灣世界盃美容美睫美甲紋繡國際比賽冠軍、熱心參與公共服務保德信青少年志工等，皆是雲嘉地區頂尖菁英。
尤其就讀嘉女的黃英綺，是此次自然科學工程類特優得主之一，她在自我介紹中指出，5年前和父親共同創辦「樂讀班」，兩人擔任老師陪下課後的學生讀書，不僅自身優秀還利他，令人動容，嘉義社社長劉尹希說，已推薦她參加31區（台灣區）女青年公共事務獎的遴選，也將代表台灣參加國際總社的比賽。
巿長黃敏惠表示，15位獲獎同學的表現令人感動，除了讀書，在六大類裡都是菁英，明白自己的方向，能發揮所長，就像一串珍珠中一顆顆晶瑩剔透、璀璨亮眼的珍珠，也感謝崇她社出錢出力找到好的典範，啟發孩子成就更好的自己。
崇她嘉義社創社社長簡麗環期盼15位得獎的學生能互相成為好朋友，「與智者為伍，與強者同行」，每一天能成為更精彩的自己，也成為別人的重要他人。
