【記者 湯皓宇/台南採訪報導】「白河青農讚出來！」，由白河區青農自發舉辦的蓮子季推廣活動，今(27)日於國道3號東山服務區熱鬧登場，台南市長黃偉哲偕同副總統賴清德一起出席推廣新鮮的白河蓮子，除親手體驗剝蓮子外，更逐一品嚐各式美味的蓮子料理及產品，將白河蓮子的獨特風味與特色優點介紹給全國各地的民眾，期盼透過端午連假的旅遊人潮帶動蓮子及相關產品熱銷。
黃偉哲市長表示，感謝南仁湖集團協力讓青農在東山休息站舉辦市集，把青農最傑出、最好又最優質的農產品展示給所有南來北往的旅客，更感謝賴清德副總統前來加持推廣，希望大家一起來愛用白河農產品、愛用東山咖啡及所有台南山區豐富多元的農特產品。賴清德副總統致詞時表示，「好東西要跟好朋友分享」，大讚全台灣蓮子、蓮藕及蓮花茶品質最好的產地在白河，而且安全無虞，並給予白河青農高度肯定與讚揚。
目前正值白河蓮子產季，台南市政府農業局輔導魏宗淇、楊家銘、劉德正及吳政雄等四位白河青農，結合白河區公所、台南市農會、白河區農會、中華醫事科技大學USR 及南仁湖企業等，產、官、學界一起響應，為行銷白河在地蓮子共同努力，積極促進蓮花產業發展。黃偉哲市長指出，市府期待經由白河蓮花節系列活動促進蓮花產業發展，減少農村人口老化與外移，解決剝工與蓮子價格因人力成本逐年上漲的問題；此外，台南市積極推廣全食蓮子、蓮膜、帶芯的觀念，希望透過蓮子季推廣活動讓民眾認識白河蓮子品質優良，促進白河觀光及經濟發展。
農業局長謝耀清表示，在國道 3 號東山服務區廣場舉辦的青農市集，現場販售當季新鮮的農特產品，歡迎大家採買白河在地新鮮的蓮子回家品嚐，並感謝南仁湖企業上架販售蓮農的農產品，為農友提供另一銷售通路，增加收益。蓮子季推廣活動精彩有趣，如剝蓮子DIY體驗，就吸引大小朋友踴躍參與，尤其在親手感受剝離蓮子的辛苦後，更能體會惜食惜福。另外，中華醫事科技大學的師生們也在現場進行創意料理教學及品嚐活動，讓大家在家就能輕鬆端出美味的蓮子料理。
今日活動嘉賓雲集，包括行政院農委會水土保持局副局長林長立、交通部高速公路局南區養護工程分局長林瑞東、中華醫事科技大學副校長孫逸民、農業局長謝耀清、白河區長蕭福清、東山區長董麗華、後壁區長翁振祥、南仁湖育樂股份有限公司副董事長鄭宜芳、立委郭國文、賴惠員及市議員李宗翰、沈家鳳等各界貴賓皆到場共襄盛舉，為白河蓮子推廣共盡心力。
