縣府首度邀請創作家柴語錄的廢柴角色擔任交通安全宣導大使，特地設計了手持「生命無價酒後禁駕」小立牌，並由廢柴本尊人偶現身各餐廳，邀請餐廳業者一起加入酒駕防制工作，希望業者能將縣府提供的Q版廢柴反酒駕立牌放置在櫃台等顯眼處，溫馨提醒用餐客人喝酒不開車，並能適時提醒用餐喝酒的客人能搭計程車或請代駕，保障自身及他人安全。

縣府警察局交通隊組長李安景也帶領埔里分局等宣導團成員向業者宣導，希望餐廳能適時協助顧客代叫計程車或提供代駕服務，宣導團一行人也向現場用餐民眾宣導酒前酒後不開車、乘客連坐罰、酒前指定駕駛和酒後搭計程車等道安觀念。
李組長提醒，明知汽機車駕駛人酒駕仍乘坐同行的乘客，也會罰600元至3,000元，但未滿18歲、年滿70歲、心智障礙或汽車運輸業乘客不在此限，還有，5年內兩度酒駕的累犯，或肇事致人重傷死亡酒駕者，吊銷駕照後重新考照一年內，需自費在車輛加裝酒精鎖，上路前需未檢出酒測值才能發動駕駛，再次呼籲民眾不要心存僥倖。
