【第七河川局】鑒於中央氣象局8/22發佈輕度颱風巴威海上警報(目前位置在花蓮東南東方海面)，未來因為颱風外圍環流影響，台灣南部地區會有局部大雨或豪雨，山區亦會有局部大雨發生的機率，必須高度戒備，8/22上午10:30成立三級防汛應變小組開設，加強移動式抽水機在防汛熱點預佈等防汛整備工作，並通知防汛志工隨時啟動協助通報即時水災情，協助【第七河川局】即時掌握現場情況。
【第七河川局】對於枋寮鄉、佳冬鄉及林邊鄉等防汛熱點區域，8/10已重新完成移動式抽水機預佈整備；8/21再做一次確認，以確保因應輕度颱風巴威可能帶來的局部大雨或豪雨。【第七河川局】針對預佈的移動式抽水機再次確認，並確保132台妥善率百分之百，以便發揮最大抽水功效。
【第七河川局】強調，因應輕度颱風巴威可能帶來的大雨勢，加強防汛應變，並完成相關防汛整備工作。也請民眾留意降雨情形，注意溪水暴漲，遠離河川，恆春半島空曠地區易有8至9級強陣風，海邊活動須注意安全，並請預做防汛準備以減少損失。
