因應防疫新生活，臺中市立圖書館「2020臺中市Bookstart閱讀起步走」活動，首度打造全新線上圖書館，邀請知名親子作家與幼兒教育專家，透過網路方式與家長分享育兒成長、親子共讀妙招，傳授如何為孩子們說故事秘訣，更可零距離欣賞志工們精采的故事講演，獲得熱烈迴響。活動搭配贈送0-5歲親子家庭閱讀禮袋僅剩兩週，中市圖提醒尚未領取的家長趕緊上Youtube頻道點閱觀賞，讓專家幫您解決育兒難題,更可安心享受親子共讀樂趣!
今年首創的線上圖書館，內容包含了每年超受歡迎的「父母成長講座」，首集即邀請親子教育專家羅寶鴻，暢談「親子共讀」的觀念與實務經驗，培養孩子歸屬感，幫助孩子正向人格發展；接棒上場的是信誼基金會廖瑞文體驗長，分享如何運用0-3歲寶寶書和孩子互動，滿足寶寶不同需求；最後壓軸是人稱「三寶爸」的小兒科醫師陳映庄，講述培養免疫力的正確觀念，對孩子的成長更有幫助。今年也特別邀請小大繪本館譚淑娟館長傳授新手爸媽如何和寶貝們進行親子共讀的寶貴秘技及撇步，讓爸爸媽媽在正式踏入親子共讀前，可以預先練習，幫助親子們更容易踏進閱讀的世界。
除此之外，「線上圖書館」特別規劃由中市圖11個故事志工劇團上場，自創或改編精彩的故事劇本內容，在防疫新生活期間，在家即可透過網路觀看志工們熱情活潑的演出；最後，「線上圖書館」也與阿布拉、小典藏、巴巴文化、步步及維京等五大出版社合作，邀請故事志工線上說故事給大小朋友欣賞，讓親子在家即像來到圖書館一般，一次閱覽五本有趣的繪本。親愛的新手爸媽還在煩惱如何與寶寶親子閱讀互動嗎？快上中市圖閱讀起步走「線上圖書館」，不用報名，隨時收看，防疫新生活期間即可安心在家享受親子共讀樂趣。
