生涯探索需要多方接觸不同的領域和刺激，從中思考什麼是自己喜歡的、想要的，以及自己的興趣特質適合哪些方向。對青少年來說，暑假時間除了放鬆、安排許多休閒興趣，也適合參與活動來多方探索。
今年台北「張老師」中心特別與花蓮東華大學合作辦理「青少年自我挑戰營」，以大學生活的必、選修課和社團課程為主要規劃，給青少年多面向的不同探索，透過選擇課程的過程讓參與學員為自己作決定，並每日安排發表學習成果。營隊小組帶領過程也將協助青少年提升自我覺察、人際互動、及問題解決能力等。
本次營隊活動時間在七月十七日至七月二十日在花蓮東華大學舉辦，第一天以團隊合作活動讓學員相互認識並培養合作，第二天進行大學生模式的選修課及社團課程，並在晚間進行學習成果發表；第三天包含肢體、視覺等不同面向的創意激發與培養，第四天則安排異國文化介紹讓學員接觸不同族群培養多元視野。
