客委會客家文化發展中心(客發中心)六堆客家文化園區在3月廣邀民眾種下翠綠秧苗，經過120天轉變為結實纍纍的金黃稻穗，7/11辦理農事學堂割禾(割稻的客語，客語拼音為godˋ voˇ)體驗，讓現代疏離土地的親子們有機會感受泥土的溫潤、稻穗的馨香和豐收的喜悅。
客發中心何金樑主任表示，六堆園區為讓延續傳統文化、落實友善耕作，且秉持著客家人敬天愛物態度，在割禾前先祭拜田頭伯公、重現人工方式割禾，規劃傳統脫穀(摔稻)、紮禾稈體驗，讓食農和環境教育的推廣更親民和深化，暑假也有多場螢火蟲親子共學體驗、露天電影等活動，非常適合後疫情時代親子家庭共下來參加。
六堆客家文化園區在辦理割禾活動同時宣傳六堆三百年活動，7/4已在稻田中割排出「LIUDUI HAKKA」(六堆 客家)的壯闊字樣，吸引許多民眾拍照，參與親子與割字合影也成為特別具紀念的畫面；活動中的交工點心-鹹粥，除了讓民眾在農忙後得以補充體力，更宣揚臺灣米食的美味和昔日農村客家人彼此扶持、共存共榮的文化，也體現了客家諺語「七月半、禾打扮；八月半，禾變飯」因收穫樂而忘卻工作辛苦的精神；活動現場也有南臺灣太鼓推廣中心和長興客家民族音樂研究學會的擊鼓和客家民謠精彩演出，讓民眾接觸廣博和精采並蓄的客家文化。
7/11「農事學堂割禾」活動吸引近250位親子參加，同時結合屏東縣政府文化處的「屏東縣大博物館計畫」，提供民眾多元文化旅遊新體驗，其中還有瑞典家庭一同參與，參與家長表示活動有動態(下田勞動)和靜態(藝文欣賞)多層次安排，是寓教於樂且優質的環境教育體驗。
六堆園區農事學堂下一場次為7/25「堆稈棚」，將再現傳統農業社會稻草屋，是現今已鮮少看見的農事活動，詳情敬請密切關注六堆客家文化園區臉書粉絲團。
