書法家姚吉聰鑽研篆書30年，於全國美術競賽獲獎無數，即日起至8月23日於葫蘆墩文化中心美術家接力展，以學術研究結合篆書創作，將歷代文學作品融入書法表現，透過書藝體現易經「素履直往」的獨行願想，期能與眾復歸於樸，領略五千年文化積澱的書藝之美。
姚吉聰任教臺中市立豐原高商國文科，自大學時期接觸「說文解字」，奠下小篆根基，生活日常以篆書為書寫工具，並持續深研探索、追循汲取，以七年之力完成「近現代古文字學者篆書之研究」，更修成中興大學文學系博士學位。
姚吉聰表示，書法創作必須會通書史，型塑自我的面貌，他的書體創作特色以篆書文字原形，運用濃枯疾澀筆勢展現節奏韻律。「節孫過庭-書譜」為大墩美展書法類第一名作品，從小篆過渡到大小篆並用，用筆沉著，鋒勢變化，提按靈敏，轉折生姿，有金文之古雅與清篆通婉，通篇風格醇靜、意趣橫生，充滿自然風致。
「王維終南別業」以小篆為主，甲、金文為輔，作品輕鬆自然。「花樹下」以篆書書寫客家歌謠，採有行無列、分行斷句的章法，融入曲詞意境搭配紛落而下的桐花印章，應和合唱曲的雋永深情及客家花布裝裱，延伸書法詞曲的言外之音。
